The Iroquois Falls Family Health Team is a teaching site of the Northern Ontario School of Medicine. We teach NOSM Medical Students as well as Family Medicine Residents.
We also teach Physician Assistant Students and Family Medicine Residents of other medical schools in Ontario.
We are honored to be able to educate today’s learners as they become the Health Care Providers of tomorrow.
How Will This Affect Patient Visits?
For the patient this means that you will see your family doctor (or other healthcare provider) and/or resident(s) when you book and appointment at the clinic.
Medical Students and Residents work under the supervision of our staff physicians. The Physician is available to consult with both patients and Residents.
The Iroquois Falls Family Health Team is governed by a Board of Directors. All important decisions will be made by the board.
At the Iroquois Falls Family Health Team we provide collaborative primary care to Iroquois Falls and catchment area patients. We have an interdisciplinary team comprised Family Physicians, Nurse Practitioners, Registered Nurses, Registered Practical Nurses, a Mental Health Worker, and a Dietitian.
